The Bulldogs had opportunities from the very beginning. Heuvelton loaded the bases in the opening inning and appeared poised to seize control early, but Harrisville's pitching and defense came up with timely outs to escape the jam unscathed. That set the tone for a game that never allowed either side to get comfortable. Heuvelton grabbed the lead multiple times throughout the afternoon, only to watch Harrisville answer every challenge. Now the Pirates will turn their attention to Tuesday's Section X Class D Championship Game, where they'll face one of the hottest teams in the classification, Hermon-DeKalb.
