From the opening inning, it was clear Canton had no intention of letting the Section X Class B Championship become a close game. The Golden Bears unleashed an offensive barrage early and never let up, overwhelming Ogdensburg Free Academy 12-2 to capture the Section X Class B Baseball Championship in dominant fashion. Canton wasted no time setting the tone. The Bears erupted for nine runs over the first two innings, putting immediate pressure on the Blue Devils and forcing OFA to play from behind almost from the first pitch. Every inning seemed to bring another Canton baserunner, another clutch hit, and another run crossing the plate. Among the early highlights was a run-scoring single from John Gidney that helped fuel the offensive explosion. Troy Zuhlsdorf crossed the plate on the play as Canton continued to build what quickly became an insurmountable lead. By the middle innings, the Bears had stretched their advantage to 11-2 and were firmly in control of the championship game. To OFA's credit, the Blue Devils continued to battle. One of their best defensive moments came when Gavin Schryver drove a ball to center field that appeared capable of sparking a rally. Instead, Ogdensburg executed a double play to limit further damage and keep the game from completely getting away. Still, Canton continued to dictate the pace. The Bears' lineup delivered from top to bottom, consistently putting runners on base and capitalizing on opportunities. Every time OFA looked for a way back into the game, Canton answered with another quality at-bat or defensive stop. The championship celebration finally arrived in dramatic fashion in the sixth inning. Zadok Roiger opened the frame with a ringing double, putting immediate pressure on the Blue Devils. One batter later, with the bases loaded and no outs, Lukas Clausen seized the moment. Breaking for home, Clausen successfully stole the plate, ending the game via the mercy rule and sending the Canton dugout pouring onto the field in celebration. It was a fitting ending to a game that belonged almost entirely to the Golden Bears. Canton's 12-2 victory showcased the offensive firepower, aggressive baserunning, and complete team effort that carried the Bears through the postseason. From the nine-run outburst in the opening two innings to the walk-off steal of home that sealed the title, the Bears left little doubt about who was the best team in Class B. As the final run crossed the plate, the celebration was on. The Golden Bears are Section X Class B Champions.
