Morristown struck in the first half and carried a 1-0 lead deep into the game as the Rockets looked to make the early advantage stand. Then Nikayla Lemieux broke through. Lemieux found the tying goal for Heuvelton, pulling the Bulldogs even at 1-1 and breathing new life into the game. From there, it was a battle. The teams traded opportunities through the remainder of regulation, but neither could find the go-ahead goal. Regulation ended 1-1, sending the game to overtime. One overtime wasn't enough. With about five minutes remaining in the second overtime, Blaire Reynolds delivered the winner for Heuvelton, completing the comeback and giving the Bulldogs a dramatic 2-1 victory.
